I remember I knew the limits on all of the questions it would ask you when creating a character so I could have maximum stats – “How much can you bench press?” and so on. I think that system of playing as yourself is a unique and interesting thing, even if I cheesed it at the time.

I remember lots of the main dungeons and bosses, but also some vague recollection that I couldn’t figure out how to finish the final battle, nor how to properly use some of the best magic in the game from the college or the sorcerer’s guild. Looking forward to reading the next updates on this, thanks for letting me relive a piece of my childhood enjoyment of roguelikes.

It’s definitely got a strong personality! I came to appreciate its sense of humor, and its many unique ideas. I hope I can get people over the hump of learning it and overcoming its early-game difficulties in the coming weeks.

I spend so much time playing that… so much time… There’s something about it that immediately captured me. Also, for it’s age, it must have been one of the most complex of it’s genre. It’s one of those games I’ll always remember fondly… apart from that fighting pit… seriously, that can escalate severely between rounds… lol
